You can vote for one of the following three proposals put forward by the Democratisation and Decentralisation Committee:
– a new-style senate in which all layers of the university are represented so they can jointly advise on long-term policies;
– a charter containing the core values underlying future UvA policy;
– the principles for a governance model with more autonomy and authority for students and staff.
Between the 23rd of November and the 11th of December we all have a great chance to make a contribution to the structure of our University. The so-called Democratisation and Decentralisation (D&D) referendum is taking place, where students and staff of the University of Amsterdam may cast their vote on whether and how to make the UvA more democratic with fewer centralised organisational structures.
